HOW WE WORK

QuA Associates is run by Arno Twigt and Jim Smith. We have worked together for more than 20 years.
We have a wide range of clients, from heavy industry to fashion, and design with the customer in mind, driving brand awareness, interaction and ultimately, sales. Working closely with our clients through every stage of the design process, we specialize in \u2018Brand Environment Design\u2019 : all touch-points of a brand\u00a0\u00a0are related in image, message and quality.
We always work with the Board of Directors of any brand, and see design as a direct result of their strategy. Sometimes helping\u00a0to define brand strategy, communicate it, or develop it.\u00a0We consider every project a partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the core of any brand is their “raison d’\u00eatre”; the reason they exist. We begin many projects\u00a0with a core group, who must give their opinion on questions we ask: Who they are, who they will become, and what are the core benefits for customers. \u00a0This forms the core of the project, is directly related to their strategy, and\u00a0forms the values from which all design originates.\u00a0We know how hard it is to take a fragile first idea from inception and help it survive the often torturous development process involved to realization.<\/p>

Clear goals, grounded in brand strategy, enable us to design ‘Brand Environments’, so whenever a customer enters a space, takes a business-card, downloads an app or visits a website, the message is consistent:\u00a0The design of a showroom includes the choice of flowers on the welcome desk. The speech of the CEO must inform shareholders\u00a0yet be completely understood by everyone on the workfloor.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of the wide range of work involved, we work together with architechts, graphic designers, product designers, web-developers, photographers, text writers and whoever it may take to realize a project. We brief them, and control all design work, to ensure consistency of message and quality of production. The client is always involved at every stage of the design process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The greatest success of a project, for us, is when the client feels that they have created the end result, and the project has exceeded the initial brief – be that in increased sales, improved communication, or simply in a beautiful design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
